The Legend of the Lost Jewels launched in June 2008 at the Nicholas Hoare bookstore in Toronto. Since then, it's been recommended by Canadian Children's Book News (fall 2008 edition), CBC Radio (Radio Noon in Montreal and Here and Now in Toronto), CM Magazine, and the Montreal Gazette. It's even made it onto the trend-setting Battle of the Books list for Halifax's Woozles bookstore!

The U.S. edition of The Mystery of the Martello Tower hit bookstores in May, 2008. Writing in the New York Sun, renowned mystery editor and columnist Otto Penzler called the book a "captivating, Nancy Drew-like mystery". Almost immediately after publishing the review, the newspaper closed its doors and ceased publication.  There is no connection between these two events.
