Readers Write:

Here are excerpts from some emails I’ve received from readers like you. I reply to everyone individually, but if you’d like to see your message quoted on my site, please check with your parents first and then let me know how you’d like to be identified. For privacy reasons, you may wish me to use only your initials, your first or last name, or even an alias – hey, you could even make an anagram using the letters in your name!

Please note that I will have only occasional email access during the summer, so don't be alarmed if it takes me a while to get back to you.

One of the highlights of this year was getting to meet fellow Raptors fan Michelle and her mother Donna at a game this spring! My fingers are crossed that her Battle of the Books club enjoys the sequel!

Dear Jennifer:

I’m writing to tell you how much I enjoyed “The Mystery of the Martello Tower.” I think it was good the way Ned and Oliver were like two peas in a pod. I was wondering if Hazel and Ned are going to stay in Toronto or are they going to move to Ile du Loup?

Dear Jennifer:

I’m reading your book right now it’s sooooooooo good I’m about half-way when Hazel, Ned and Oliver have a basketball game against Hank, Billy and Kenny. The game was very good and I hope you can email me back ASAP and tell me more about your next book it looks really great as well.

Dear Ms. Lanthier:

I want to tell you how much I loved your book and enjoyed reading it!!.

I usually don’t like mysteries, but I happened to read excerpts of your book in the National Post. My mother wanted to order your book, so I reluctantly agreed. I’ve now read your novel six times.

You have inspired me to write a mystery of my own… I figured out the characters but I’m not sure what the mystery is or how it will tie in with the story. Perhaps someday I will finish it!

Thank you for writing The Mystery of the Martello Tower. It is now one of my favourite books!! (That is quite a compliment since I’ve read thousands of books.)

Sincerely,

E. Neuman
